Open The Door, Open Your Body, Durational Performance, Glasgow, Scotland, 2018.

I sit on the ground and use my legs to tightly squeeze both sides of a door. As the audience pushes the door open to enter the room, they simultaneously push my legs away. Some simply stood outside and were too afraid to open the door; some tried to open the door tentatively and did not dare to exert any force; some opened the door harshly; some lined up after others and rushed in after the door was pushed open; some tried to press against the wall and pass through me; some told me: ‘please let me in, I don’t want to hurt you.’ After this performance, bruises formed on the inside of my legs.
